HOW TO GET THERE:

Hello, my name is Hammad Ausafi (also known as: gumzhd,ausafi.). I’m a student at Hertford Regional College studying HND Photography and this is my BLOG in which I share all the creative work I am doing (while studying on the course). This contains all my test shoots, final images, and influences that inspired and research while working on my assignments.

I enjoy photography, as it allows me to capture what I find most interesting and something that could be in relation to my anxiety/depression – allowing me to capture, edit and create a timelapse (showcasing how I created the final image) with the music I relate to or the music I anonymously produce – but that’s a story for another time, in which you can find out more on my personal website at: gumzhdausafi.COM. Side note: I do not have a ‘favourite’ photographer, but if I had to lie, it would have probably been Ansel Adams as he makes me feel a bit nostalgic, and makes me feel like playing my all-time favourite video game, The Last of Us. Before starting this course, I attended another educational institution where I pursued a typical degree program. However, I didn’t enjoy it because of the heavy emphasis on 'academic' writing. Hoping for a more supportive environment, especially considering my autism, I switched to the HND Programme, which indeed provided the support I needed.

Despite my academic background, I have (or somewhat come from) a creative background. I've worked as an anonymous music producer and was once partnered with Maker Studios, the world’s largest YouTube network, during my secondary school days (although it has since closed). My journey into graphics, editing, and photography began in 2009 while I was learning to create a website to showcase my work. This led me to undertake projects for prominent gaming organizations like FaZe Clan, Guardians Badge, Legit Supremacy, and SuPra Gaming. While these experiences brought recognition and improved my communication skills, my progress was hindered by my struggles with anxiety, often causing me to hold back. Lastly, I was finally able to achieve my Access to HE Diploma in Creative Media by far being one of the biggest achievement in 2022 (and now the HNC) as I may decide to take a break after my first year of HND Photography course due to personal life bound issues. (This blog will be continuously updated throughout my course at HRC).
